Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is a multifunction printer?

A multifunction printer (sometimes abbreviated to MFP) is a compact all-in-one machine that incorporates a photocopier, scanner, and fax machine as well as a printer into a single free-standing or even tabletop device. These are space and energy-saving machines that cater to all your printing needs in one place.

What is a stand-alone photocopier?

A stand-alone photocopier is a single unit entirely devoted to copying functions. The many benefits of a stand-alone photocopier include very fast copy speed, large and economical ink toners, sophisticated document management features such as stapling, binding, sorting, and sizing, the ability to copy onto different sizes of paper, low-cost copying per page, and robust mechanics for a high volume of use.

What is the difference between Inkjet and Laserjet printers?

An inkjet printer uses ink, which it sprays onto a piece of paper (or label) in a series of tiny dots. The most obvious difference between inkjet and laser printers is that while inkjets use ink, laser printers use toner to produce an image. Laser printers have an unbeatable print speed and produce much sharper images and better resolution printing. Therefore, they are particularly suitable for large scale and high volume printing and businesses that require a professional print finish.

What is a printer drum?

The drum unit transfers the toner to the paper. The laser printer puts the toner on the roller called “The photosensitive drum” inside the drum unit, and then prints letters and images by fixing toner to the paper by heat and pressure.
